Employee records

USC places the utmost importance on protecting the privacy of our employee records, otherwise known as personnel records. Both the law and university policy require the confidentiality of personnel files be maintained. For specific guidance on which information is kept in employee records, how it is maintained, and how it is accessed, see the university’s Employee Records policy.

Workday is the system of record for electronic employee files. All employment-related documents should be uploaded to the worker documentation file. Once uploaded, hard copies should be destroyed. Do not keep hard copies of any documents/information that has been uploaded to Workday.
